St Mawes Regatta

Looking through my sketchbook, I found this one that I did during the St Mawes Regatta. The Marine Band had just got off the ferry, so attention was on them. This was done with a water soluble sepia pen and a water filled brush pen, a great way to get half tones quickly. The water soluble ink is good for sketchbooks, but not for anything that will be exposed to light.

Man enjoying pub lunch

This man was so intent on his food that I was able to do a quick ink sketch without him noticing too much, ( he might have had a little idea that he was being scrutinised, as he gave a me a small smile). He looked like he was relishing his roast dinner.
